Job summary

Accurate Indigenous Managers & Advisors in Winnipeg is seeking a maintenance/cleaning worker to perform daily cleaning and upkeep across diverse settings.

You will sweep, mop, scrub and wax floors, wash windows and walls, handle minor repairs, supervise others, and ensure safety and cleanliness of common areas. The role is on-site with no remote option, requiring reliability and the ability to work with limited supervision.

Qualifications

  • Criminal record check is required.
  • Child Abuse Registry check is required.

Responsibilities

  • Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers
  • Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
  • Make minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances
  • Perform safety and security checks
  • Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants
  • Supervise other workers
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
