Job summary

Red Deer Public Schools is seeking a Substitute Caretaker (Janitorial) to support building operations. This casual position offers shifts on short notice in the late afternoon to evening hours. Shifts range from 3 to 8 hours and are scheduled Monday through Saturday; hours will vary based on district needs.

Strong communication and technology skills are essential. Experience in caretaking/janitorial is preferred; applicants must be able to obtain a Vulnerable Sector check and comply with

Desirable qualifications:

• Candidates must be available to work on short notice for shifts 3 to 8 hours long between the hours of 3:00 pm and 11:00 pm, Monday through Saturday. Hours will vary based on needs.
• Excellent communication and technology skills
• Direct experience in the caretaking/janitorial field is preferred

Required knowledge, education, abilities and skills are as per the Job Description (available from People Services). Pay rate is per the current collective agreement with C.U.P.E. Local 1012.
