Job summary

The University of Ottawa on Main Campus is hiring Proctors (CUPE) for the 2026 Fall Semester. This temporary role supports proctoring exams and maintaining exam integrity in a dynamic university setting.

We offer two hourly rates: $31.44 CAD for undergraduate student proctors and $37.73 CAD for graduate student proctors. Work runs from September 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026, with total work hours per shift at 6. Undergraduate hires are paid at the lower rate; graduate hires at the higher rate.

Surveillant / Proctor : $31.44 ou/or $37.73 (Sept. 2026 - Aug. 2027)

The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.
