Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Toronto, Canada, is looking for a Culinary Manager to lead our culinary and dining department. You will recruit, train, and supervise a team of culinary and service professionals, while maintaining focus on cost efficiency and high resident satisfaction.

You will collaborate with the Executive Director and regional/national culinary leadership to translate culinary visions into actionable plans, ensure exceptional dining experiences, and uphold Cogir's standards of quality

Qualifications

Red Seal Certification is an asset.
Several years of experience as a professional chef with supervisory responsibilities.
Post-secondary education in culinary management or related field.
Food Safety/Food Handler's Certification and Smart Serve where applicable.
Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Lead culinary and dining department with a focus on resident satisfaction.
Recruit, train, and supervise a team of culinary and service professionals.
Oversee budgeting, cost control, and menu planning to achieve best-in-class dining.
Collaborate with Executive Director and regional/national culinary leadership to translate vision into action.
