Job summary

The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking an Information Processing Technician in Halifax to maintain Crown land records and serve as the primary administrator for the Crown lands electronic document management system. You will digitize records and ensure compliance with records management policies.

Ideal candidates have a background in data processing or IT, strong attention to detail, and experience supporting users across departments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
• Knowledge of electronic document management systems, database management, and records management.
• Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a register of Crown lands ownership records with accuracy and organization.
• Administer the Crown lands electronic document management system.
• Digitize Crown land records complying with relevant records acts and policies.
• Provide user support and assist with training and workshops.

Education

High school completion

Vocational Data Processing Program

Certification program in IT or Records Management
