Job summary

Rhenus Logistics in Mississauga is seeking a Freight Forwarding Coordinator to manage end-to-end cross-border ground shipments between Canada, the United States, and Mexico, with a focus on automotive customers and time-sensitive freight. You will coordinate carriers, prepare documents, track progress, and resolve exceptions in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

The role requires hands-on freight forwarding experience, knowledge of FTL/LTL, Bills of Lading, PODs, and close collaboration

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on freight forwarding experience, specifically coordinating ground/transborder shipments.
• Experience coordinating Canada–U.S. and/or Canada–U.S.–Mexico cross-border freight.
• Strong knowledge of FTL/LTL, Bills of Lading, PODs, and shipment documentation.
• Customer-facing role in a fast-paced operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-border ground freight shipments end-to-end, including pickup, carrier assignment, border movement, delivery, and PODs.
• Manage shipments between Canada, the United States, and Mexico, ensuring timelines are met.
• Coordinate third-party carriers and transportation partners for FTL, LTL and other ground transportation requirements.
• Track shipments proactively and provide customers with timely status updates and pre-alerts.
• Troubleshoot delays, missed pickups/deliveries, border issues, and other operational issues.
• Review carrier invoices and support accurate customer billing.
• Maintain complete shipment records in the forwarding system.
