Job summary

City of Moose Jaw is seeking a hands-on Crew Lead Facilities to coordinate maintenance operations, support staff, and help maintain community spaces.

Responsibilities include developing maintenance programs, supervising custodial teams, ensuring timely work, and maintaining records. The role requires strong leadership and hands-on problem solving to keep facilities safe and welcoming for residents.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• 3+ years facility maintenance experience with 2 years supervisory experience and 2 years custodial supervision.
• Refrigeration Operators Certificate OR 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate (or higher).
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and abstract.
• Able to obtain PME, WHMIS, First Aid/CPR, SPRA Arena/Pool Operator, Class 3A, BOMI SMT certifications.
• Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Physically able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted and pass respirator fit testing.

• Coordinate and ensure timely completion of daily and preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Maintain complete and accurate records, logs and supporting operational documents.
• Assist with recruitment, training, scheduling and performance management.
• Monitor staff certifications, order janitorial/maintenance supplies and recommend repair projects.
• Assist with budget preparation and expenditure tracking.
• Safely operate and maintain assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Provide supervisor coverage as required and participate in after-hours call out rotation (approx. two weeks per month).
