Job Summary

As a Credit Analyst, you will play a key role in assessing the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients. You will conduct financial analysis, evaluate risk, and make recommendations to management regarding credit decisions. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Required Education/Experience

• Minimum of 3 years related experience required.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field preferred.
• Experience in credit analysis or related field preferred.
• English (French or Spanish are a plus).
• Typically works in an office environment, but may also travel to meet with clients, attend industry conferences, or site visits.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, credit reports, and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with credit risk management principles and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to shift between multiple tasks accurately.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in credit analysis projects, including financial and non-financial data.
• Evaluate client creditworthiness and make recommendations to management.
• Monitor credit limits and payment terms.
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams on credit issues.
• Adhere to credit policies to mitigate risks.
• Contact customers with overdue accounts to collect payments.
• Negotiate payment terms and resolve disputes.
• Maintain accurate communication records.
• Respond to credit inquiries and manage credit account updates.
