Job description

Location: Richmond Hill Office

Reports To: Analysis Team Manager, with a dotted-line to the Head of CRMD

Employment Type: 6-month Contract / Full-time Permanent

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and detailed reviews of credit applications, financial statements, and supporting documents;
• Assess borrower creditworthiness, repayment capacity, and industry risk exposure;
• Analyze financial ratios, cash flow, and collateral adequacy to determine credit risk;
• Identify early warning signals and provide recommendations for risk mitigation;
• Submit your analysis to the Manager/ CRMD Head or another authorized person for verification;
• Participate in credit committees and provide recommendations on loan approvals and risk strategies;
• Assist in developing and updating credit policies and procedures based on regulatory changes;
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the CRMD Head/Manager, such as conducting annual CRE industry analysis.

Qualification

• Minimum of 5 years of credit review experience, preferably specializing in corporate, commercial, or residential lending, as well as real estate, mining and energy, transportation, wholesale, or syndicated loans;
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative discipline;
• Solid understanding of risk factors, control methodologies, and monitoring tools;
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;
• Proficiency in Chinese is an asset.
