Employment Status: Full Time (37.5 hours per week); Remote Friendly - open to applicants from across the province; office location to be determined

Compensation: commensurate with education and experience

We are currently looking for an entry-level Credit Analyst I for the Small Business - North Region team.

Your primary goal is to provide our commercial relationship managers with administrative and analytical support to enable them to focus on reimagining our members' financial fitness.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Reviewing and analyzing financial statements
  2. Preparing credit investigations, security inspections, and searches
  3. Ensuring all documentation is completed and accurate
  4. Assisting members with loan and deposit inquiries
  5. Communicating information accurately to members and team members
  6. Preparing commercial loan renewals
  7. Preparing credit facility letters for review; assisting in resolution of security/account deficiencies
  8. Understanding the corporate structure of members (Op-co, Holdco, multiple owners, etc.)
  9. Understanding the basics of financial statements and their different types
  10. Completing ratio analysis and interpreting ratios
  11. Initiating the Annual Review process
  12. Ensuring high member satisfaction by assisting with inquiries, following up, and understanding members' finances to recommend valuable products and services

Requirements

To qualify, you will need at least the following:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of banking experience
  • Knowledge of reading financial statements is an asset

Education and Training:

  • Minimum Grade 12 with a combination of education and practical experience
  • Available to undertake Credit Analyst training/courses within the first 12 months
