Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in human resources, business or a related field.
  • 2-5+ years recruiting experience in high-volume trades recruitment.
  • Experience hiring salaried staff is an asset.
  • Experience in construction/industrial services is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Workday ATS is an asset.
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition Coordinator Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for the full cycle recruitment of all required positions for designated project sites, ensuring project sites are staffed in an efficient, timely manner with qualified employees while creating an exceptional candidate and hiring team experience.

What You Will Be Working On
  • Execute full cycle recruitment for hires in line with the talent acquisition policies, procedures, standards, and salaried workflow.
  • Lead the talent acquisition process and create a consistent and positive experience for the candidate and hiring team.
  • Liaise with the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition to support the development and implementation of talent acquisition strategies and candidate marketing programs.
  • Execute strategic programs to identify and attract talent.
  • Track talent acquisition metrics defined by the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition to monitor talent acquisition trends and determine potential improvements.
  • Actively source candidates as appropriate.
  • Establish strong internal relationships with the business, People & Culture and front-line leadership.
  • Act as the talent acquisition ambassador for the organization and establish a strong external network and partnerships with agencies, associations, and universities.
  • Maintain complete and accurate staffing documentation as required by law within the ATS (Applicant Tracking System), Workday.
  • Participate in planning meetings with the business to stay current on upcoming projects and resource requirements.
  • Manage general employment inquiries.

What We Are Looking For
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in human resources, business or in a related field
  • 2-5+ years’ recruiting experience in high volume trades recruitment
  • Experience in hiring salaried staff an asset
  • Experience in the construction and oil and gas industries an asset
  • Experience using an ATS system (Workday is an asset)
  • Familiarity with the dynamics, operations, processes and organizational interdependencies of construction and industrial services preferred
  • Knowledge of sourcing, selection and staffing strategies, programs, vendors and tools
  • Understanding of workforce-related federal and provincial employment laws and regulations
  • Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities, capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
