Job summary

Wolseley Canada Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented analyst to support costing data analysis and pricing management. You will validate costing data for new and existing products, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure accurate costing across several software platforms, including AS-400 and MS Excel.

The role emphasizes data integrity, cross-functional collaboration, and timely issue resolution, with emphasis on process adherence and ongoing opportunities for cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Business, Information Technology or related field preferred.
• Experience in data analysis and/or data processing, operations or supply planning.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work with minimum supervision.
• Detail oriented.
• Self-motivated and energetic.
• Team oriented.
• Bi-lingual English/French asset.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing costing data analysis, entry, maintenance and validation for products.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of costing elements and troubleshoot issues.
• Respond to stakeholder inquiries through formal validation processes.
• Follow SOPs/templates for costing entry and management.
• Impact analysis to aid strategic decision making.
• Manage and execute special pricing agreements and vendor promotions.
• Investigate PO discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with internal/external stakeholders.
• Work with AS-400, MS Access, MS Excel, SharePoint and Outlook to support daily costing functions.

What You Will Do

• Ongoing analysis/entry/maintenance/validation of costing data for new and existing products
• Working within the business to ensure the accuracy and integrity of costing elements including the ability to timely troubleshoot any issues.
• Respond and manage inquiries from stakeholders through a formal process of validation and approvals
• Follow standard operating procedures/templates for entering and managing costing
• Impact analysis aiding in strategic decision making
• Managing and executing special pricing agreements and vendor specific promotions in a timely manner
• Investigate PO Discrepancies and work with both internal and external stakeholder for a resolution
• Work with multiple software applications such as AS-400, MS Access, MS Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook to support daily costing functions.
