Job summary

Wolseley Canada is seeking a costing data analyst to maintain and validate costing information for both new and existing products. You will ensure data integrity across costing elements and troubleshoot issues with stakeholders.

You will respond to inquiries through formal validation and approvals, follow standard procedures, and support strategic cost decisions. Proficiency with AS-400, MS Access, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook is required.

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary education in Business, Information Technology or related field preferred.
  • Experience in data analysis and/or data processing, Operations or Supply Planning.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Ongoing analysis/entry/maintenance/validation of costing data for new and existing products.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of costing elements; troubleshoot issues.
  • Respond to inquiries from stakeholders through a formal validation/approval process.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for entering and managing costing.
  • Support cost-related decision making through impact analysis.
  • Manage pricing agreements and vendor promotions in a timely manner.
  • Investigate purchase order discrepancies with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use software like AS-400, MS Access, MS Excel, SharePoint and Outlook to support costing functions.

What you will do:
  • Ongoing analysis/entry/maintenance/validation of costing data for new and existing products

  • Working within the business to ensure the accuracy and integrity of costing elements including the ability to timely troubleshoot any issues.

  • Respond and manage inquiries from stakeholders through a formal process of validation and approvals

  • Follow standard operating procedures/templates for entering and managing costing

  • Impact analysis aiding in strategic decision making

  • Managing and executing special pricing agreements and vendor specific promotions in a timely manner

  • Investigate PO Discrepancies and work with both internal and external stakeholder for a resolution

  • Work with multiple software applications such as AS-400, MS Access, MS Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook to support daily costing functions.

What you will bring:
  • Post-Secondary education in Business, Information Technology or related field preferred
