Job summary

Wolseley Canada, a leading wholesale distributor, is seeking a Costing Data Analyst to support costing data entry, validation and analysis for products and promotions. Contribute to accuracy, cost controls, and stakeholder communication.

You will work with AS-400, MS Excel, MS Access and SharePoint while collaborating with cross-functional teams. A post-secondary background and strong analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary education in Business, IT or related field preferred.
• Experience in data analysis and/or data processing, operations or supply planning.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision.
• Detail oriented and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing analysis/entry/maintenance/validation of costing data for new and existing products.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of costing elements; troubleshoot issues.
• Respond to stakeholder inquiries through formal validation and approvals processes.
• Follow SOPs/templates for costing data entry and management.
• Perform impact analysis to aid strategic decision making.
• Manage pricing agreements and vendor promotions promptly.
• Investigate purchase order discrepancies with internal/external stakeholders.
• Use AS-400, MS Access, MS Excel, SharePoint and Outlook to support daily costing tasks.

What you will do:

• Ongoing analysis/entry/maintenance/validation of costing data for new and existing products
• Working within the business to ensure the accuracy and integrity of costing elements including the ability to timely troubleshoot any issues.
• Respond and manage inquiries from stakeholders through a formal process of validation and approvals
• Follow standard operating procedures/templates for entering and managing costing
• Impact analysis aiding in strategic decision making
• Managing and executing special pricing agreements and vendor specific promotions in a timely manner
• Investigate PO Discrepancies and work with both internal and external stakeholder for a resolution
• Work with multiple software applications such as AS-400, MS Access, MS Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook to support daily costing functions.

What you will bring:

• Post-Secondary education in Business, Information Technology or related field preferred
• Experience in data analysis and/or data processing, Operations or Supply Planning
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to multi-task and work with minimum supervision

Compensation: $50,000 to $55,000 + bonus
