We have an opening for a Corporate Services Support Clerk supporting our Yellowknife office, working remotely from our Calgary office. This role plays a significant part in assisting professionals with their daily tasks, including client service (internal and external), preparing various legal documents, and ensuring smooth physical procedures within the Yellowknife office.

Duties + Responsibilities
- Support and assist the Yellowknife corporate services team members.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as file organization, scanning, copying documents, and data entry.
- Process all incoming mail and deliveries via the YK Business Services mailbox, including mail from all three offices.
- Search for file and matter numbers in NetDocs or ALF, extract and review documents, and save/naming them appropriately.
- Email Paralegals/Clerks and save emails to NetDocs once deliveries are processed, attaching all relevant documents.
- Process incoming proof of filings from Corporate Registries in NWT, Nunavut, Yukon, and Corporations Canada, saving them to the correct files and notifying the paralegal.
- Review registry rejections, identify errors, and assist in amending documents for resubmission.
- Review files, prepare annual ET returns and director lists, and forward for client execution as needed.
- Assist in preparing submission documents for the Corporate Registry, ensuring all required documents are in order and properly saved.
- Create Charge Sheets from ALF.
- Process receipt of signed annual returns and submissions to the respective Registries.
- Review filed documents, email proof of filing to clients, and update ALF accordingly.
- Draft emails to clients regarding proof of confirmation from the Registry, and report on completed tasks.
- Manage Business Name Renewals letters.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
Qualifications + Skills
- High school diploma.
- Experience in a law firm or similar professional environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong follow-up and bring-forward skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities with minimal supervision.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and meet high-pressure deadlines.
