The Alberta New Home Warranty Program Group of Companies (ANHWP Group) is Alberta’s most experienced and trusted provider and educator for new home warranties, serving homebuilders for over 50 years. We continue to innovate to meet the needs of homeowners and our Builder Members.

This position is with the Alberta New Home Warranty Program (ANHWP) and collaborates with The New Home Warranty Insurance (Canada) Corporation (NHWICC), the Professional Home Builders Institute of Alberta (PHBI), and Dweller Home Services.

Accountable for:

The Finance Clerk will support the Finance department by assisting with financial routines, reconciliations, financial statements, accounts payables, invoicing, and other related tasks.

Work location:

Calgary, Alberta

Term:

May 20, 2025, to August 22, 2025

Working hours:

8:30 am – 4:30 pm (35 hours/week)

Wage:

$18/hour

Responsibilities:

• Assist with standard accounts payables
• Assist with accounts receivable collections and reconciliations
• Conduct manual invoicing for home inspection services
• Complete month-end reconciliations for financial data entry
• Perform other administrative duties as required

Skills and Experience:

Must be between 16-30 years old, as the position is partially funded by the Canada Summer Student grant program.

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, returning to the program after the work term. Candidates should be at least in their second year.
• Available and legally authorized to work in Canada for at least 14 weeks full-time.
• Previous experience in an administrative, office, or finance role is an asset.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ethics.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail.
