Arlyn Recruiting's client, a leading national full-service law firm, seeks a Compliance Paralegal to join its Corporate Commercial Group. The role supports corporate compliance and governance matters with a significant portion of billable work.

The successful candidate will coordinate a high-volume workflow, collaborating with lawyers, clerks, and legal staff. Hybrid work, mentorship, and competitive compensation are offered.

Qualifications

  • Paralegal diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 10 years of corporate compliance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate compliance requirements (resolutions, registrations, filings).
  • Experience with corporate databases; cloud-based tech is a plus.
  • Proficient with iManage, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate a high-volume corporate compliance workflow.
  • Prepare annual resolutions for BC and federal corporations.
  • Handle cross-Canada registrations and annual filings.
  • Provide guidance and training on corporate compliance matters.
  • Support governance projects and improvements to processes.
  • Maintain accuracy across multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Bill approximately 50–75% of the time for corporate compliance work.

Job description

Arlyn Recruiting is working with our client, a leading national full-service law firm, to recruit a Compliance Paralegal to join its Corporate Commercial Group. This is an opportunity for an experienced corporate compliance professional to join an established legal team and take on a significant role supporting corporate compliance and governance matters.

The successful candidate will coordinate a high-volume workflow of corporate compliance matters, working closely with lawyers, clerks, and legal support professionals. Approximately 50–75% of the role will involve billable corporate compliance work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate a high-volume corporate compliance workflow, including:
  • Annual resolutions for British Columbia and federal corporations
  • British Columbia and cross-Canada registrations and annual filings
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve and implement compliance processes and procedures
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to paraprofessionals on corporate compliance matters
  • Assist with special projects relating to corporate compliance and governance
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Perform approximately 50–75% billable corporate compliance work
Qualifications & Experience
  • Paralegal diploma and/or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience specifically in corporate compliance
  • Strong experience with corporate compliance requirements, including annual resolutions, registrations, and filings
  • Experience with corporate database technology; cloud-based technology is an asset
  • Knowledge of iManage, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage a high-volume workflow
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement
About the Opportunity
