Job description

KingSett Capital is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join the Toronto team reporting to the Manager of Finance. Role Responsibilities

1. Oversee end-to-end accounts payable for high-value transactions across various funds and properties.
2. Implement invoice verification protocols and resolve billing discrepancies.
3. Develop and manage intercompany invoicing systems to facilitate reimbursements across funds and properties.
4. Apply GL coding techniques for transactions within Procure to Pay and establish validation protocols.
5. Create and refine system approval workflows to enhance efficiency.
6. Oversee high-volume payment runs, including international wire transfers, large-scale ACH payments, and high-value cheques.
7. Maintain relationships with major financial institutions to facilitate transaction processing.
8. Maintain strategic vendor relationships and resolve disputes.
9. Implement Payee Match protocols in Yardi Voyager and resolve discrepancies.
10. Manage centralized financial records and ensure system synchronization.
11. Oversee employee expense reimbursements and manage fund transfers.
12. Prepare and distribute monthly returns to investors.
13. Process funding requests for property acquisitions and developments.
14. Assist with bank reconciliations and generating financial reports.
15. Implement strategies to minimize aged balances and improve cash flow management.
16. Develop and monitor key performance indicators for the accounts payable function.

Candidate Profile

1. 2-5 years of accounts payable experience.
2. Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3. Experience managing accounts payable functions for a large portfolio.
4. Experience with Yardi Voyager and Procure to Pay systems. Familiarity with other financial software and ERP systems is an asset.
5. Advanced knowledge in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
6. High attention to detail with the ability to work independently under pressure.
7. Strong analytical thinking, project management, and process improvement expertise.
8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to a non-financial audience.
9. High degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
