Job summary

Civeo Crown Services Employees LP is seeking a Cook for one of our lodges in the Fort McMurray area. You will assist the First Cook and/or Chef, prepare a wide variety of meats, salads, sandwiches and entrees, while maintaining inventory and sanitation levels.

Shifts follow a 21 days on/7 days off rotation, may include days, nights, weekends and holidays, reporting to the supervisor. Join a safety‑minded kitchen focused on teamwork and high quality meals for remote workers.

Qualifications

  • 1-3+ years food service experience, preferably in a remote environment.
  • Food Safety certification valid in Alberta for duration of employment.
  • Advanced Food Safety is considered an asset.
  • Current, valid First Aid certification is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, pull, push, and place objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and production of menu items
  • Ensure daily production levels are met
  • Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly cleaning lists are completed
  • Ensure food quality, food safety and service standards are met and maintained daily
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures by following company Safe Work Practices and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Civeo Crown Services Employees LP is looking to hire Cooks at one of our lodges in the Fort McMurray area. The successful candidate will assist the First Cook and/or Chef, prepare a wide variety of meats, salads, sandwiches and entrees, while maintaining inventory and sanitation levels. Duties will also include meal preparation, kitchen maintenance, cleaning, safety and teamwork. Reporting to the designated supervisor, the successful candidate will work 21 days on and 7 days off rotation, which may include days, nights, weekend shifts, and statutory holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and production of menu items
  • Ensure daily production levels are met
  • Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly cleaning lists are completed
  • Ensure food quality, food safety and service standards are met and maintained daily
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures by following company Safe Work Practices and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
