Job summary

Civeo Premium Services Employees LP at Tse Zul Camp in Faro, Yukon, is seeking a skilled cook to prepare high-quality meals for guests. This role involves leading daily kitchen operations, planning menus, maintaining inventory, and ensuring food safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.

You will contribute across meats, salads, sandwiches, and entrees, support ordering and production planning, and collaborate with a small team to deliver hospitality across a 14-on/14-off rotation.

Qualifications

  • 1-3+ years food service experience, preferably in a remote environment.
  • Red Seal Cook designation is an asset.
  • Food Safety certification valid in the province of Alberta is required.
  • First Aid Certification is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and organizes the culinary team in the preparation of food items and task assignments.
  • Assist with menu ordering, inventory, and daily production planning.
  • Preparation and production of menu items.
  • Ensure daily production levels are met.
  • Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly cleaning lists are completed.
  • Ensure food quality, food safety and service standards are met and maintained daily.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures by following company Safe Work Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Reporting to the designated supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for our guests, showcasing your expertise across a variety of cuisines. Key Responsibilities include preparing a diverse range of meats, salads, sandwiches, and entrees, maintaining proper inventory levels and upholding sanitation standards, supporting daily meal preparation and kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

What Do We Offer
  • Hourly Rate: $24.50/ hour
  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts
  • Estimated Gross Monthly Earnings: up to $4,000/ per month (Figures are estimates before deductions and may vary based on actual hours worked and payroll cycles)

  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, pull, push, and place objects away weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Must successfully pass a pre-access Drug and Alcohol test as a condition of employment.
