Harbour House Hotel on Salt Spring Island is seeking an experienced kitchen professional to manage meal preparation and kitchen operations at a rural, on-site location. You will lead staff, plan menus, and ensure high standards of food safety while coordinating with our culinary team.

Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years of relevant experience, an appropriate trades certificate or diploma, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years to less than 3 years of experience.
• Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience.
• English language proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Determine the size of food portions and costs
• Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
