Job summary

The Wood Restaurant and Lounge in Canmore, AB is seeking a Cook to join our on-site kitchen team. This permanent full-time role offers an hourly wage of 20 CAD and a 30–40 hour week, with starts as soon as possible.

You will prepare meals, handle allergens, inspect the kitchen, train staff, manage inventory, and maintain clean, safe cooking areas in a fast-paced environment. Prior kitchen experience is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in cooking or kitchen work.
• Languages: English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Clean kitchen and work areas.
• Manage kitchen operations.
