Job summary

Canadian Inclusion in Canada seeks a Controller to lead financial planning, reporting, and analysis that directly influences business success. You will manage a finance team, oversee month, quarter, and year-end closes, and partner with senior operational leaders as trusted advisors.

You will perform IFRS accounting, deliver insightful financial analyses, support strategic initiatives, and mentor CPA staff while helping integrate acquisitions and ensure revenue recognition compliance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of work experience in an accounting or finance environment.
  • CPA designation (or equivalent).
  • Experience building and managing relationships with direct reports and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure monthly financial reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Perform IFRS technical accounting analysis.
  • Summarize and present financial results to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate analyses to support senior leadership decisions.
  • Manage and mentor a finance team including CPA candidates.
  • Review software contracts for IFRS 15 revenue recognition.
  • Coordinate audit requests during quarterly and year-end audits.
  • Assist M&A due diligence and integrate acquisitions' finances.

As a Controller, this professional will be responsible for providing financial support and analysis that will directly impact a Business's success. They will lead a team of finance professionals; and oversee the month, quarter, and year-end close process while working closely with the operational senior leadership teams as their trusted business advisors.

WHAT WILL YOUR NEW ROLE BE
  • Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely completion of monthly financial reporting
  • Technical accounting analysis under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Analyzing; summarizing and presenting financial results to senior leadership
  • Co-ordinate and provide analyses that support the decision-making of senior leadership
  • Manage, coach and mentor a team of finance professionals including CPA's and CPA candidates
  • Review multiple-element software contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition under IFRS 15 guidelines, including regular review of supporting schedules
  • Co-ordinate audit requests and respond to queries during quarterly reviews and the interim and year-end audit
  • Assist the M&A team with finance due diligence items and oversee the financial integration of new acquisitions, including intangible valuations and acquisition accounting entries

COMPENSATION DETAILS :

$87,500 - $105,000
