Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a Continuous Improvement General Supervisor at the Detour Lake Mine. You will report to the Project Manager and ensure goals align with our safety, environment, and operating excellence values.

You will own and drive the Strategic Optimization roadmap, govern MOS, and coach leaders across functions to deliver high-quality improvements and measurable value.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in continuous improvement or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of Strategic Optimization methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.
• Ability to coach, influence, and build capability across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the site Strategic Optimization roadmap aligned with business priorities.
• Establish and govern SO processes, standards, and methodologies across the site.
• Facilitate and support SO initiatives while enabling departments to own project execution.
• Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and teams on SO tools, practices, and roles.
• Drive implementation and governance of the MOS; ensure consistency across site functions.
• Monitor SO performance, progress, and value delivery; report outcomes.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Own and maintain the site Strategic Optimization roadmap aligned with business priorities;

Establish and govern SO processes, standards, and methodologies across the site;

Facilitate and support SO initiatives while enabling departments to own project execution;

Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and teams on SO tools, practices, and roles;

Drive implementation and governance of the Management Operating System (MOS);

Ensure consistent, high-quality SO support across all site functions;

Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence;

Monitor and report on SO performance, progress, and value delivery;

Provide oversight of Operational Technology initiatives, ensuring projects and systems align with operational priorities;

Monitor implementation and adoption of technology solutions, ensuring integration into standard work and performance frameworks;

Maintain continuity of technology initiatives by directing priorities, addressing gaps, and ensuring adherence to the site Technology Roadmap.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Engineering degree preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered;

5+ years of proven leadership experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, or similar roles;

Strong knowledge of Strategic Optimization methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma);

Ability to coach, influence, and build capability across all levels of the organization;

Experience leading cross-functional improvement initiatives in an operational environment;

Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills;

Strategic mindset with the ability to align SO efforts to business objectives;

Ability to lead a lean team while enabling ownership within operational departments;

Results-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Schedule:14/14 schedule at Detour Lake Mine;

Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.

Compensation Statement

In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.
