Job summary

EllisDon Corporation is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for the Prince George, BC area. The role focuses on preparing and analyzing financial data to maintain positive project cash flow, and providing engineering information to ensure code compliance.

You will assist with plan interpretation, field issue resolution, and rigorous document control including RFIs and submittals, supporting the Project Manager in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• Construction-related degree/diploma required.
• 3–5 years of construction experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Working knowledge of scheduling, project management and contract software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial data to ensure positive cash flow for the project.
• Provide technical engineering information to employees and subcontractors to ensure compliance with standards, codes and design instructions.
• Assist in plan and specification analysis to interpret drawings for construction.
• Assist in evaluating and solving field problems and report to the Project Manager.
• Understand and perform document control: track RFIs, submittals, compose agreements and maintain expediting list.
