Job summary

EllisDon Corporation is seeking a Construction Manager to lead a major project in British Columbia. The role includes overseeing design, construction and warranty handover, and providing direction to planning, scheduling and engineering teams to meet design, budget and schedule objectives.

The position requires 20+ years of supervisory experience, a related engineering or construction degree, and thorough knowledge of construction practices, policies, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 20+ years supervisory or equivalent experience.
• Located in or willing to relocate to Prince George, British Columbia.
• Engineering or Construction related degree/diploma, or equivalent work experience.
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); company policies, procedures and standards, union jurisdiction, labor agreements and negotiations essential.
• Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills.

• Accountable for overall project performance of one major project (>$300M in value).
• Oversee the design, construction, and warranty handover of projects to ensure projects are completed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule objectives.
• Provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required.
• Develop and maintain pre-construction schedules, baseline construction schedules, procurement schedules, commissioning and PDI schedules.
• Plan, coordinate and/or supervise activities of all company personnel on assigned project(s).
• Ensure project safety standards, company, client policies and environmental programs are adhered to.
