Qualifications

• You are currently enrolled in Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, Project Management, or Construction program.
• You will complete at least one more semester after internship and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Ability to lead in a changing environment and build positive relationships.
• Demonstrates a strong team orientation, urgency, and collaborative work style.
• Residency or a valid work permit to work for Bird Construction or subsidiaries.
• Be prepared to complete pre-employment Medical and/or Alcohol & Drug testing if required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drawings and work with scope/trades.
• Review trade quotes, verify materials, hours, and rates.
• Participate in project meetings and update logs.
• Conduct deficiency walks and update deficiency logs.
• Issue warranties and coordinate progress photos.
• Update field drawings and produce as-built drawings.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and coordinate sub-trade work.
• Verify site conditions and supervise sub-trade work.
• Set up records and layouts using a total station.
• Update project schedules and create/maintain graphical schedules.
• Obtain scheduling information from sub-trades and monitor productivity.
