Job summary

Bird Construction in Sudbury, ON is seeking a Student Project Coordinator for an 8 or 12 month co-op beginning January 2027. You will support coordination of drawings, field coordination, and scheduling on an active construction project, under supervision and a Technical Mentor.

You must be enrolled in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Industrial Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and demonstrate leadership and teamwork in a dynamic environment. A work permit is required for eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Industrial Engineering program.
• Must have at least one more semester of education after the internship and a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Ability to lead and operate in a changing environment and build positive relationships.
• Residency or valid work permit to work for Bird Construction.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drawings and scope/trades on a live project.
• Review trade quotes, verify quantities, hours, and rates.
• Update project schedules and maintain logs and records.
• Coordinate sub-trade work and supervise site activities.
• Conduct deficiency walks and support field coordination.
