Job summary

Bird Construction is seeking a Student Project Coordinator for a 4 or 8 month co-op starting January 2027. You will work on civil construction projects across AB, BC, and SK, coordinating drawings, sub-trades, and scheduling while reporting to a supervisor and Technical Mentor.

You will gain hands-on experience in project coordination, field coordination, takeoffs, and scheduling, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and safety in a leading Canadian construction company.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in Civil, Mechanical, Structural or Industrial Engineering and pursuing at least one more semester.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher required; transcripts may be requested.
• Residency or valid work permit to work for Bird Construction or subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drawings and scope/trades; review trade quotes, quantities, hours, and rates.
• Attend project meetings; update deficiency logs and issue warranties.
• Take and coordinate progress photos; update field drawings and as-built drawings.
