Job summary

Bird Construction in Regina, SK is seeking a Student Project Coordinator for an 8-12 month co-op starting January 2027. You will manage a scoped set of responsibilities within a construction project and receive guidance from a Supervisor and Technical Mentor.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Construction program.
• Will complete at least one more semester after internship and maintain GPA 3.0+.
• Residency or valid work permit allowing work for Bird Construction.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drawings and specific scope/trades for projects.
• Review trade quotes, verify materials, hours and rates.
• Participate in project meetings and update deficiency logs.
• Update field drawings and produce as-built drawings.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and coordinate sub-trade work.
• Set up and maintain record keeping and scheduling information.
• Layout site lines and grades using total station.
• Monitor manpower productivity and support project scheduling.
