We are seeking a motivated and strategic Business Development Manager to help drive growth and strengthen client relationships within our construction and general contracting services. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing long-term partnerships, and contributing to proposal development for construction projects—ranging from day-to-day maintenance to large capital renovations.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and strategic Business Development Manager to help drive growth and strengthen client relationships within our construction and general contracting services. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing long-term partnerships, and contributing to proposal development for construction projects—ranging from day-to-day maintenance to large capital renovations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Market Development & Lead Generation
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities with property managers, consultants, developers, and condominium boards.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote company services.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact during the early stages of client engagement.
  • Proposal & Bid Support
    • Collaborate with estimators and project managers to develop RFP responses, tender submissions, and service proposals.
    • Assist in drafting scopes of work and aligning proposals with client requirements.
  • Sales Strategy & Forecasting
    • Work with leadership to set quarterly and annual sales targets.
    • Track and report on business development metrics and pipeline health.
  • Marketing & Brand Promotion
    • Support marketing efforts, including case studies, digital campaigns, and promotional materials.
    • Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and co-branding with vendors or consultants.
  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to adjust strategies proactively.
    • Recommend service expansions or new verticals based on emerging demand.

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of business development experience in construction, real estate, or related industries.
    • Proven success in B2B sales, lead conversion, and relationship-building.
    • Strong understanding of general contracting practices, project lifecycles, and construction terminology.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and proposal writing tools.
    • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.

    Assets (Preferred but Not Mandatory)

    • Experience working with property management companies or condominium boards.
    • Familiarity with estimating platforms (e.g., Xactimate, Procore, or similar).
    • Existing network of contacts in the construction or property management industries.

    Compensation

    • Base Salary ($100,000 - $120,000) + Commission Structure / Bonus Incentives
