Job summary

E.S. Fox Limited is seeking a Billing Clerk for our Niagara Falls office. The role focuses on data entry, information verification, and generating bills, with opportunities to run reports and investigate billing discrepancies.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years in accounting, strong Excel/Word skills, and excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate monthly invoicing and reporting for multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in accounting/finance environment.
• Completion of a college or university level business or accounting program is considered an asset.
• Accounting knowledge, with construction industry knowledge an asset.
• Experience working within the construction industry is an asset.
• Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail, speed and accuracy of data input.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up jobs from a billing perspective, including entry of labour rates, cost codes, material markups into the billing system.
• Review contracts to determine billing requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to provide job reporting requirements for billing.
• Run and verify accuracy of computerized reports weekly per job or worksheet.
• Data entry of information for billing and verification of customer charges.
• Prepare billing summaries in Microsoft Excel and assist with billing processes.
• Create paperless billing by adding text, combining files, and organizing documents.
• Work with other departments to gather information for billing and improve processes.
