Job summary

University of British Columbia (UBC) Vancouver Campus is seeking a Sales and Service Manager in the Conferences and Accommodation area. You will develop new business alongside managing existing clients, coordinating facility bookings, and leading onsite event logistics.

Responsibilities include preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and coordinating tradeshow participation and client events while ensuring excellent service and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Two year diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Tourism, or Event Management.
• University degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive knowledge of the meetings, tourism and hospitality industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business and manage a portfolio of clients for conferences and services.
• Prepare formal proposals including event-related services and present to clients.
• Plan and execute trade shows and client events; coordinate bookings and schedules.
• Oversee onsite logistics, communication with clients, and post-event follow-up.
