Metro Testing & Engineering Ltd. is seeking a Concrete Field Testing Technician, a full-time permanent position based in Campbell River. This role involves conducting concrete tests on-site to ensure compliance with industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have related experience or a willingness to learn, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift weights of up to 50 lbs. Benefits after 3 months include health insurance and mileage allowance.

The opportunity

Metro Testing + Engineering is one of the busiest and largest Construction Materials Testing Lab is Western Canada.

We are looking for people who want to start a career as a Concrete Field Testing Technician. Our field concrete testing technicians visit multiple job sites daily and conduct testing before pouring the concrete. If you love to be on the road and meeting people, it could be your next opportunity.

The position will be based out of Campbell River and It’s a full time permanent position. We are hoping the person can start late June or Early July.

We prefer applicants who have experience in Concrete Testing and are CCIL Certified. However, we will train the right person for this role.

What you will be doing

• Test concrete before the pour and ensure they meet the specifications and industry standards
• Interpret the test results and to produce reports
• Building relationship with site personnel to foster long term business collaboration
• Travelling to job sites in Campbell River and the surrounding areas.

What you will get

• Hourly wage starts at $25/hr for CCIL certified technicians and $23/hr for people required training.

Who we are looking for
