Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide resident care in a community setting in Vaughan, Ontario. The role follows established care plans and supports residents with daily needs, ensuring safety and dignity in a home-like environment.

The PSW will participate in ongoing training, documentation, and IPAC adherence, contributing to a respectful, inclusive team focused on quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meets vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meets standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meets standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
• Knowledge of procedures for simple bedside care and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor care to ensure adherence to care plans.
• Document information pertaining to resident care.
• Attend in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops.
• Assist in onboarding of new staff.
• Follow IPAC policies and procedures.
