Job summary

AgeCare in Vaughan, Ontario, is seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide compassionate resident care according to care plans and to help maintain a safe, home-like environment for residents and staff.

You will document care, participate in in-service education, assist with onboarding, and adhere to IPAC policies, contributing to a supportive, diverse team focused on residents’ quality of life.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
• Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents; sanitation basics.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring care per the plan of care by observing residents and reporting findings to supervisor.
• Assists in documenting information pertaining to resident care as directed.
• Attends in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops as directed.
• Assists in onboarding of new staff as directed.
• Follows IPAC policies and procedures.
