Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide care to residents according to their care plans and assist in identifying resident needs. The role emphasizes safety and a supportive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities include monitoring care adherence, documenting information, and participating in training and onboarding. Compliance with IPAC policies is required to maintain high-quality care across AgeCare communities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma.
• Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
• Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care; basic sanitation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring care to ensure adherence to the care plan by observing residents and reporting findings.
• Assists in documenting information pertaining to residents' care as directed.
• Attends in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops as directed.
• Assists in onboarding new staff.
• Must follow IPAC policies and procedures.
