Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide compassionate care to residents and support their care plans in a multi-site Canadian setting. The PSW will monitor care, document observations, and participate in ongoing staff education while promoting a safe, respectful environment.

The successful candidate will meet PSW credentialing standards, support geriatric residents, and uphold infection prevention practices.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring care to residents per the care plan.
• Assist in documentation of resident care information.
• Attend in-service education sessions, staff meetings and workshops.
• Assist in onboarding of new staff.
• Follow IPAC policies and procedures.
