Job summary

Responsive Group Inc. is seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide hands-on personal care and support daily living activities for residents in a long-term care home in Ontario.

The PSW will promote dignity, independence, and comfort, perform ADLs, assist with meals, and document care at the point of care. Strong interpersonal skills and a client-centered approach are essential, with IPAC and safety training highly valued.

Qualifications

• PSW Certification meeting Ontario requirements (600+ hours).
• Experience with person-centered care models is preferred.
• InterRAI LTCF awareness is a plus.
• Experience with documentation in electronic health records (e.g., care notes, flowsheets).

Responsibilities

• Promote the Home's Vision, Mission and Values.
• Provide assistance with ADLs (dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, transfers, feeding).
• Encourage independence with cues and adaptive supports.
• Support bathing routines to enhance comfort and dignity.
• Collaborate with nursing/restorative team to support goals and safe mobility.
• Follow care plans and evidence-based interventions to promote safety and belonging.
