Job summary

Alberta Health Services is hiring a part-time Health Care Aide for Taber Health Centre in Long Term Care. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing personal assistance and supporting daily living activities under the supervision of a regulated health professional.

Responsibilities include helping with hygiene, nutrition, mobility, safety, and observing patients’ mood and wellbeing. You will rotate days, evenings, nights and weekends in a 0.88 FTE schedule, with required CLHA

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA) as a Health Care Aide, along with proof of education or completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire.
• Criminal record check required prior to first day of work.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance and support activities of daily living.
• Assist nurses with routine care and report patient mood, health, and wellbeing.
• Observe and ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper nutrition for patients.
• Collaborate with families and caregivers within the care plan.
