Job summary

Alberta Health Services is hiring a Health Care Aide (HCA) for Drayton Valley Hospital on a regular part-time basis. You will work with the multidisciplinary team to provide ADL support and help nurses with routine care, observing patient wellbeing and reporting findings. Shift patterns include days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Position requires CLHA registration or eligibility and a Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire; posting ends 23-Oct-2026 with ongoing safety screenings.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA) as a Health Care Aide.
• Proof of education or completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance by supporting activities of daily living.
• Deliver support services to patients requiring short-term or ongoing assistance per care plans.
• Assist with hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation and safety needs; observe and report mood and wellbeing.
• Support communication with patients and health care professionals; maintain a safe environment.
