Alberta Health Services is seeking a Health Care Aide to support patients in home, community, and health care facilities. You will work under supervision to assist with daily living activities and essential care plans.

Responsibilities include assisting nurses with routine care, observing patient wellbeing, and maintaining safety. Minimum 1 year experience and HCA certificate preferred; casual/relief status with AUPE AUX terms.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for registration or practice permit with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA) as a Health Care Aide, along with proof of education or completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire.
• Completions of HCA course.
• Minimum 1-year experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide personal assistance and support daily living activities as per the patient care plan and facility policies.
• Assist nurses with routine care to meet patients' hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs.
• Observe and report on patients' mood, health and wellbeing, and maintain safe environment.
