Job summary

AgeCare McKenzie Towne, based in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a Health Care Aide to join our care team. You will assist residents with daily activities, transfers, meals, and personal care under the supervision of a staff nurse, contributing to safe, respectful, and person-centered care.

The role emphasizes compassionate service, adherence to care plans, and teamwork in a supportive, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in continuing care or related environment preferred.
• Post-secondary education is an asset.
• Must be fluent in English, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Bath, shower and wash residents per the NCP to promote comfort and wellbeing.
• Transfer or assist residents with transfers using lifts and PPE as needed.
• Feed or assist with meals; refer to care plans for diet optimization.
• Provide routine treatments and care procedures under nurse supervision.
• Assist residents in moving about the facility and attend activities.
• Support residents to dining rooms and accompany to social/therapy events.
