Job summary

Optima Living is seeking a courteous Server to provide meal service to residents and guests in our BC communities. You will set up dining areas, maintain cleanliness, and support meals and beverages in alignment with safety standards.

Responsibilities include taking orders, serving, and assisting with tray delivery, special events, and ensuring clean, safe dining environments for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food services role is an asset.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices is required.
• Food Safe certification is an asset.
• CPR and First Aid certification is an asset.
• Ability to communicate professionally with residents and staff.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals and beverages to residents according to dietary needs and preferences.
• Set up, clean and sanitize dining areas before and after meals.
• Assist with large orders, events, and catered functions as needed.
• Interact with residents to take orders and answer menu questions.
• Provide tray services and assist with meal delivery.
• Ensure food safety and cleanliness in all dining areas and storage.
