Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Calgary, AB is hiring a Server to join our bright dining room team. You will help with set-up, serving residents and guests, and cleaning duties to ensure a welcoming mealtime experience. We value compassion for seniors, strong customer service, and the ability to lift and move items safely.

Prior food service experience is preferred, and proficiency in a second language is a plus. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service and working with seniors
• Excellent customer service skills
• Physically able to lift and transfer heavy items and stand/walk for most of the shift
• Proficiency in a second language is an asset
• Current VPS or willingness to obtain one within 6 months

Responsibilities

• To serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner
• To set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required
• To assist with cleaning of dishware and cutlery at the conclusion of service
• To maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining area as required
• To assist with catering and participate in special events and theme days
• To assist in orientation and training of new culinary employees
• To follow health and safety regulations and department procedures
• To uphold residents' rights and responsibilities
