Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is hiring a Server to work in our bright and welcoming dining room. You will support the dining room setup and all aspects of serving and cleanup within a retirement residence.

Preference given to those with experience in food service and seniors, with strong customer service. Must be able to lift heavy items and stand most of the shift; a second language is an asset.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service and with seniors preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand for long shifts.
• Proficiency in a second language is an asset.
• Current VPS or willingness to obtain one upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Set and clear dining tables; deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and dining/kitchen areas.
• Assist with catering and participate in special occasions and theme events.
• Participate in orientation and training of new staff; follow health and safety protocols.
• Uphold the organization’s policies and values.
