Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Canada is seeking a Server to join our bright and welcoming dining room. You will help with set-up, service, and clean-up, delivering meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.

The role supports dining operations in our retirement residence, participates in trainings, and helps maintain kitchen and dining area cleanliness while respecting Residents' Rights.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service preferred, especially with seniors.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• To serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner
• To set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required
• To assist with cleaning of dishware and dining areas at end of service
• To assist with maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and dining area
• To assist with catering and participate in special events and theme days
• To participate in orientation and training of new culinary staff
• To follow health and safety regulations and department policies
• To respect Resident Rights and promote dignity and comfort
• To attend in-service trainings and staff meetings as required
• To contribute to Quality Improvement initiatives and uphold organisational values
