Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a server to join our bright, welcoming dining room and support the dining service team. You will help with set-up, serving, and clean-up, creating a warm mealtime experience for residents.

We value passion for service, teamwork, and the ability to adapt in a senior living environment. Prior food service with seniors is preferred; VPS will be required within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or with seniors preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand for long shifts.
• Second language is considered an asset.
• Current VPS or willingness to obtain one within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Set and clear dining tables; deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with washing of dishware and maintaining dining area cleanliness.
• Support kitchen and dining area cleanliness and organization.
• Assist with catering and participate in special occasions and events.
• Assist in orientation and training of new culinary staff.
• Follow health and safety regulations and department procedures.
• Uphold residents' rights and responsibilities and promote them in daily service.
