Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Calgary, AB, is seeking a Server to join our bright dining room within a retirement residence. You will help with set-up, serve meals to residents and guests, and assist with tray service and cleaning as part of a welcoming mealtime experience.

Ideal candidates bring food service experience and a passion for working with seniors, plus strong customer service. VPS clearance within 6 months (or willingness to obtain) is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service and working with seniors.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Physically able to lift and stand for most of the shift.
• Proficiency in a second language is an asset.
• Current VPS clearance (within 6 months) or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• To serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• To set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• To assist with cleaning of dishware and the dining area as required.
• To assist with maintaining kitchen and dining area cleanliness.
• To assist with catering and participate in special occasions and events.
• To assist in orientation and training of new culinary employees.
• To follow health and safety legislation and department procedures.
• To comply with provincial regulations and Residence policies.
• To uphold Residents' Rights and promote it.
• To attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
• To participate in Quality Improvement and uphold company values.
