Job summary

Cogir Real Estate is seeking a Server for our retirement residence dining room. You will help set up, serve, and clean up, creating a welcoming mealtime experience for residents and guests.

Preference for candidates with experience in food service and with seniors; ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods; second language skills are a plus. A VPS screening may be required upon hire, and accommodation is considered.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred.
• Ability to lift and transfer heavy items and stand for long periods.
• Second language proficiency is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional, courteous manner.
• Set and clear dining tables; deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning dishware and maintaining kitchen and dining areas.
• Support catering and participate in special occasions and events.
• Help orient and train new culinary staff.
• Follow health and safety regulations and department policies.
• Respect Resident Rights and Responsibilities.
• Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings.
• Participate in Quality Improvement programs.
• Support the organization’s values and conduct.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.
